To be eligible, public and private companies in the Chicago area had to have reported five years of revenue and have at least $20 million in 2007 revenue. The 50 companies with the highest four-year percentage of revenue growth became the Crain's Chicago Business Fast Fifty. In 2007, InnerWorkings generated revenue of $288.4 million, representing four-year growth of 1,677 percent from 2003 revenue of $16.2 million.
